Ancient Text - Reading Materials
Occasionally, I will post translations of ancient texts in the Library. When I do, I will list the websites below so that everyone can visit the sites for more reading, investigation, and research. Rather than ciphering through old entries, just to find the website for a text, simply come to this list and easily find the information you need. Remember: by reading the texts of ancient cultures, you get to witness (first-hand) how they perceived their world; so, reading as many of the ancient works as possible will bring you closer to a more well-rounded understanding of the people and culture. We won't be able to study every text available online, so I urge everyone to visit the listed sites in order to get more exposure of ancient literature. (The sites are listed in the order they are introduced to the Library, and thus are listed by category; not by timeline, civilization, or alphabet.) Videos
Anytime I find interesting videos about the cultures and art that we are studying, I'll post a link to them for your viewing pleasure. These videos, although important, will not be discussed as part of the lessons or be included in any assignment or examination. It is suggested that you discuss the contents of the videos through peer discussions on our social media companion site: Classical Art History - FaceBook Page http://www.facebook.com/classicalarthistory (These videos will be listed in random order by civilization, for easier access.)
